Holiday Music at MUSC

Join us for a lunch time holiday chamber music concert at the Colbert Education Center lobby of MUSC! This performance is presented free of charge, sponsored by the President’s Office and MUSC Cultural Arts Council.

The Night Before Christmas

Saturday, December 23 at 1pm.

Celebrate the most magical holiday season with a special Christmas Classical Kids Concert at Sottile Theatre, 44 George Street. Sing along to favorite holiday songs and listen as well-loved stories come to life with classical music. Laura Ball narrates special holiday stories set to music for wind quintet and Michael Easler of the Actors’ Theatre of South Carolina brings to life  “The Night Before Christmas.”  This performance always sells out, so be sure to get your tickets early!

Classical Kids Concerts are 45-minute programs of sing-along songs and stories set to music. Tickets
are $12 for adults, $6 children 4-16, and free for children 3 and under. Advance tickets are now available, or they can be purchased at the box office on the day of the performance.

The Snow Queen

December 22 at 3 and 7:30 and 23 at 7:30pm, Sottile Theatre

Hans Christian Andersen’s classic tale comes to life in a world premiere full length ballet. Impeccable new set designs by Buchanan Arts transport us to another world as the professional dancers of Ballet Evolution are joined by Chamber Music Charleston and aspiring young artists from the Charleston Dance Institue for a holiday performance for the whole family!
